#23: Stumbling Through… As We Speak

Dear Friends,

I’m typing quietly… in the next room, we’re in the middle of a “stumble through” of the first half of the play.  Only one of my five scenes is in the first half, and we just did it, so I thought I’d log in and say hi.  Hi.

A “stumble-through” is what we affectionally call the first run-through of the play (or, as in this case, half of it).  Because it’s our first time at it, we’re generally not running it; we’re stumbling.  Tripping, falling, stuttering, spitting, walking the wrong way, saying the wrong thing, pausing and staring off into space.  Anything but running.  But it’s good.

Or it will be good.
